One of the most loved parts of the christmas season is the beautiful music that is heard and sung everywhere you go. Most standard xmas Carols speak about the arrival of Christ and are also included in many church hymn books all around the globe.

Tons of artists today make modern renditions of some of our tops. It looks like each top rock, country, or pop artist has a xmas album. Some of our favorite christmas carols have been around for hundreds of years.

To make the normal christmas songs more topical for today’s children, I made a decision it was time to pen some new song words. So I got to work and wrote a collection of funny xmas songs for youngsters that preserves the 1st tunes of our fave christmas carols, but breathes totally new life into them.

Following a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1868, Philadelphia local Rector Phillips Brooks penned the lyrics for O tiny city of Bethlehem. While viewing Bethlehem from the Palestine hills at night, he became inspired to write this Carol. Brooks’ church organist, Lewis Redner, composed the melody.

Why not basically have a go at writing your own funny words? Everyone can have a competition to see who can write the funniest words. Typical xmas carols are also sung in the tropical islands in the same way these are sung in just about all states.

Even if you are not into the practice of listening to carols, I might recommend you hear this one at least. This song has a desist after each verse which goes like so : “Here comes Father Xmas, Here comes Santa, Right down Father Christmas lane”.

The lovely story behind this happens in 1818 on christmas Eve in a tiny alpine hamlet named Oberndorf. It is claimed that the organ was broken at St. Nicholas Church. Priest Joseph Mohr gave his poem, Silent Night or Stille Nacht, to his good pal Franz Xavier Gruber, who set about composing a guitar tune for it. This easy musical score was completed in time for Midnight Mass and there had been music to be enjoyed.

When you join in to sing these xmas Carols now, you will carry a bit of special information about how they came to be. This could make you sing that much louder and enjoy them much more.

These are some typical vacation songs from winter vacations. There are such a lot of classic xmas songs that have been around for many years.

After a “hither”, a “thou know”, and a “good league”, most adults begin to lose the plot, so consider how tricky it needs to be for children.

To make the normal christmas songs more topical for today’s kids, I made a decision it was time to pen some new song words. So I got to work and wrote a collection of funny christmas songs for youngsters that preserves the first tunes of our top christmas carols, but breathes fully new life into them.

Hanukkah songs are lovely and rich with convention. A typical image representing Hanukkah is the dreidel. A song that teaches about the dreidel is often known as, “I have a little Dreidel.”. I make it a point to buy at least 2 or three cassettes of these carols each year. If you would like to grasp where to get them, read on to discover.

The best carols are those which appeal not only to the children but also adults and old alike. Chipmunk Song : This is one song which I will not do without ; I often make it a point to hear this traditional Christmas carol each year. David Seville had sung this song together with Alvin and the Chipmunks. It has got a subtitle called “Christmas don’t be Late”.

Yet to give it a Jamaican flair, tons of the popular xmas carols are re-recorded in reggae rhythm. Bakers and housewives start baking xmas fruit cakes using mixed fruits drenched in wine months ahead, and rum made of regionally grown sugar cane.

Celebrating christmas day in Jamaica is a whole-day feast starting with ackee, salted fish, breadfruit, fried and boiled bananas, fresh fruit juice, and tea. Thanks to the hearty breakfast which can go on until before lunch, christmas dinners are served in the early afternoon. Roasted soy chicken or duck (helps prevent cancer and heart disease), soy ham, rice, and peas are the common offerings.

Johnkano parties, a pagan ritual introduced by African slaves that highlight masked dancers and musicians are also celebrated in some of Jamaica’s rural areas. A giant amount of homes are painted, and householders hang new curtains and western christmas decorations like wreaths, tinsel, and xmas lights.

During Christmas you need amazing food for your family, try using the stove top popcorn popper. Stop by Greggory Methods site where you can find out all about the old fashioned popcorn popper and what it can do for you.

Today, we are Offering some practical advice for employees when it comes to socializing with work mates at the office Christmas party and how to have a good time but making sure you keep your job…Read on.

You want to be able to go back to work with some personal anonymity still in place after the work office party – you don’t want to show everyone what you’re REALLY like! How are you going to be able to look at your work mates the same way as you used to after an embarrassing night of dancing on the tables and being abit of a menace?

The winding up of the year and the work Christmas party for numerous employees is their only opportunity all year to fully relinquish work and socialize with their work friends and colleagues. As a consequence, there is a lot of repressed emotions that can very rapidly make or break your reputation, one that you have been able to keep in tact throughout the year.

It’s unacquainted territory for numerous workers to be socializing with their co-workers, so the response to get beyond this unfamiliarity is to booze up to the extent that everybody comes down to the equivalent inebriated level. Think about it though, not everybody responds in the same manner when they are intoxicated, and you risk doing something you may well want to repent and you will have to face up to everybody at work having to deal with the awkwardness.

Be conscious of how much alcohol you consume, and taking your time in doing so could be the difference in making a complete fool out of yourself, or keeping your mood under control. Just because the beer is on the house doesn’t mean it’s worth risking spending the evening throwing up over the side of the boat on your yearly work Christmas party boat cruise.

The best way to become unpopular within your work environment is to become the office gossip. To add to this, be wary of who you talk about and what you say, and if you simply cannot help yourself and have to bad mouth someone – make sure they are not standing behind you.

What may seem very innocent to you at the time may have the potential to have devastating repercussions down the track. We are talking about the potential of sexual harassment. Would you put your arm around someone during work hours? No – would you attempt to kiss someone on the lips during work hours? No. This truly is very tricky terrain, if you read someone’s signals incorrectly and decide to act (after 6 beers) then you are foolish and risk being charged with a harassment suit and losing your job.

The end of year work party is a great opportunity to get to know your work mates on a new and more personal level. Staying in control of your emotions should be something you take measures to ensure is kept under wraps. Don’t make a fool of yourself at the office Christmas party, you still need to front up to work the next day!

Christmas Eve, the night before Christmas, is a very special time of year. Every year, around the world, children are “wide-eyed” in anticipation of all the gifts they will receive tomorrow morning. Did you know that Christmas Eve traditions differ in various countries around the world? Well they do. In this article we will be exploring the traditions of Christmas Eve in various countries around the world.

Santa and his elves have been working all year for this big night. Spanning the globe via sleigh and reindeer can have you working up quite an appetite. Children to the rescue. In both Canada and the United States, children leave some milk and cookies to feed Santa’s ferocious appetite. In Australia and Britain they prefer to leave mince pies and sherry. The children of Sweden want to satisfy Santa’s love of chocolate, so they leave brownies.

Sure, Santa needs refreshment, but what about his reindeer? Children love animals, and they are not about to forget Santa’s little helpers on the big night. Kids from Australia, Britain, Canada and the United States leave a carrot to give those reindeer an extra “boost of energy”. The children who follow the Dutch custom of sinterklass go a bit further…they also leave some hay with a carrot. Placed in a shoe before going to bed, it is replaced by a gift.

Reading books and watching television or videos have become a Christmas Eve tradition as well. One popular book is “A Visit from St. Nicholas” by Clement Clark Moore. Popular videos are: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, A Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, or Frosty the Snowman. For those who like to sing Christmas Carols, popular titles are: Here Comes Santa Claus, Up on the Housetop, or Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Just before going to bed, children around the world put their stockings on mantels in hope that “Santa will soon be here”, or so the song goes. They are full of anticipation that Santa will fill them with gifts, candy, and other goodies…ready for them when they wake up tomorrow morning. A quick look up the chimney to ensure that he has not arrived yet, a glance out the window to see if they can catch a glimpse of a passing sleigh, and perhaps unlocking the front door (in case Santa has problems navigating the chimney), then off to bed…

Parents have their part to play in Christmas Eve as well. There are a lot of gifts that need to be placed under the tree, and they will often be signed “From Santa” or “Love Santa”.

Did you enjoy this little tour of “The Night Before Christmas”? Christmas Eve is certainly a magical time of year…but we are not done yet. In future articles we will be exploring more aspects of Christmas, so stay tuned…

Let’s commence with the classics. The 12 grapes at midnight. A ubiquitous practice thru Spain. So ubiquitous in fact that the majority think the popular ritual dates back to pagan times, but its roots are essentially quite modern and represent a promoting marvel.

1909 was a big harvest year for Spanish winemakers, and a grouping of savvy businessmen came up with a creative plan to sell their excess grapes. Listen up, everyone! Grapes are good luck! It succeeded beyond all expectations…and turned out to be such a laugh that people welcomed it as part of their annual New Year’s Eve customs. Today it is impossible to imagine New Year’s Eve in Spain without a smattering ( and mouthful ) of grapes.

Eating the grapes is done in myriad techniques : people gather in public squares or location barcelone ( Plaza Catalunya and the Torre Agbar are local favorites ) or around a radio or television set and wait for the countdown to midnight. Before the countdown begins, everyone is given twelve grapes, which are eaten, one at a time, to synchronize with the chimes. If you’re new to this tradition, 2 words of advice : seedless grapes! Eating the grapes in the street is less commonly found in Barcelona than in other parts of Spain.

Although folks do gather in town squares, most neighbors like to eat the grapes at home or at a party. For the 4th year in a row, the chimes will be broadcast by TV3 and Catalunya Rdio from the iconic Agbar Tower. The event is a 21st century version of the standard church bells, employing a flashy, decorative light show and electronic music to herald the New Year.

One thing you won’t see is an official fireworks display. Unlike the other towns, Barcelona hasn’t got a tradition of New Year’s Eve fireworks ( they give you three night’s worth during La Merc instead ). You might see some here and there, as well as plenty of firecrackers, but anyone expecting a grand fireworks extravaganza will be disappointed.

Many eateries offer special dinner menus on New Year’s Eve, and most of the upscale parties include dinner and grapes. People choosing dinner at home or location appartement barcelone sometimes leave the house right after midnight. As far as parties go, Barcelona is a place that caters to virtually every preference, from sublime balls to mega-parties at sports arenas to personal affairs.

The classic event is the gala dinner and ball – called a cotilln in Spanish – customarily held at swank hotels, an elegant evening of cava ( Catalan bubbly ), beautiful dining, cocktails, dancing and – for the die-hard night owls – churros ( a type of fried pastry ) and chocolate at dawn. Getting around is no problem : the underground, FGC trains and night buses run all night on New Year’s Eve.

Finally the 5 Jan, the evening before twelfth Night ( Epiphany, six Jan ) the Thee Kings ( or 3 wise Men of the New Testament ) arrive by ship at the waterfront of Barcelona ( Moll de la Fusta ) to be greeted by the Mayor of the city and conducted to the nearby park of Ciutadella. From there the three Kings depart in their carriages, the principal part of a grand parade that proceeds slowly thru the streets and avenues of the centre towards the Olympic Stadium. The Kings and other partakers in the parade throw barley sugar sweets and other sweets to the kids lining the route.

If you’re looking for quality, appartement barcelone at competitive price, then look no further than location appartement barcelone

The world right now is pre-occupied but with a plethora of global issues such as expanding debts and sad to say, wars and environmental issues. However, there are a lot of things everybody could do to lessen the heartaches that these events do. For instance during Christmas, instead of giving senseless things to loved ones and friends, why not come up with Christmas gift ideas that either help clean up the environment or which do not contribute more harm to it?

A few years ago, this issue hasn’t really surfaced thus people are giving away gifts that are either expensive or detrimental to the environment. Gift giving is a fun activity that has been in existence for probably centuries but now that the world is facing environmental issues, it is time to think of Christmas gift ideas which are still beautiful and useful but at the same time eco-friendly and which really promotes good causes in nature.

There are several Christmas gift ideas that people can incorporate to their holidays. These things are organic material-made items, recycled gifts and some money free ideas. First off, with the organic material idea, people can opt to give bags, shoes and other items which are made of bamboo, coconut and some other kinds of amazing grasses. Materials like seashells and other natural materials are also good ideas.

Probably, the most exciting environmental-friendly Christmas gift ideas are those that are recycled such as kitchen items that are made out of recycled newspapers, handbags made of aluminum cans, and just about every household or fashion items that are made from trash, literally. The things that people throw everyday are very useful when creating recycled products. So instead of these trash materials going to the sewer and landfills, they can be turned in to special gifts.

Re-creating or re-giving of items are one of the cost efficient eco-friendly Christmas gift ideas. Imagine re-designing or handing down your favorite vintage dress. It may be hard to part from such classic treasure but a real fashionista would appreciate it. Not to mention it costs you less or no money at all to give the gift. What makes it eco-friendly? You recycled your personal belonging to become a special Christmas gift.

We often think about gifts for the kids during the Christmas season, but what about the women? They often are the ones that help organize the home for the holiday season and make the memorable holiday treats. This is not to mention all that they do during the rest of year taking care of your children, going to teacher conference, keeping the home cleaning, helping to balance the house accounts, and still managing to get a delicious meal on the table at the end of the day. The least that we guys and kids can do is getting her something for Christmas. Here are some great gift suggestions.

Get her perfume. Other than make up, this is nearest to a lady’s heart. Try to get some of your wife or mother’s favorite fragrance. This will be sure to brighten her holiday season. To increase the impact of the gift get the gift set. First you will save money especially as retailers are cutting prices to get rid of extra stock and increase sales. The second reason is that you get more items than just buying the fragrance alone. You can get a body wash, lotion, as well a decent size bottle of perfume. The woman in your life will love you all the more for this great gift options and you will be patting your back for the great deal you found.

Make up is another great gift choice. Most women love to look their best, but sometimes the items that are sold at grocery stores and drugstores will not do the trick. So it makes sense to get some of the high quality items. The best place to go is to the mall or to outlet stores. These will give you really great discounts this holiday season. Once again getting the gift set just makes sense. You will be able to get all the items your special lady needs and save money in the process. It would also be a good idea to know what brand she uses so you get the one that is best suited to her.

Cooking utensils are another great idea. However, this is more for the woman you know loves to cook. Every cook has items on their wish list that they want so that they can cook more easily and with less fuss. Try going to the home department of your favorite retail or outlet store. This holiday season you should be able to find some phenomenal savings on great and durable products. You can also get some decorative items for the kitchens such towels and oven mitts. They will have a high rate of success especially since they are useful items.

The woman in your life may not be a good cook but she may have a great career. Show your support for her professional endeavors by getting her a great office gift. This can be anything from a desk organizer to high quality pens. You can find these at your local office store, online, or at a local retailer. This is a great way to say you care and show your love and support and give your spouse, relative, or girlfriend something she can use to grace her desk and help get work done.

As always we can’t forget the kids. A great thing you can do is send specialized Santa letters. This is great for households where children wrote to Santa. By ordering online you can give them customized replies to their letters that will help make the season bright

One of my favorite desserts for the holiday season is Rum Cake. Everyone loves my Rum Cake. In fact, a friend suggested that I market it. I used to make it from scratch but that really required a lot of time and effort. I finally figured out a short cut and no one knows that it is not made from scratch unless I tell them.

My secret is start with a box of cake mix as a base. I always use Duncan Hines. I guess you could use any box mix. I stick to either the Yellow Butter Recipe or the French Vanilla mix. I recommend that you try both. The texture of the cake is slightly different depending on the mix. The yellow cake mix makes a more traditional version but the french vanilla is really good too.

I tend to make of a number of variations of the cake by adding or omitting nuts and/or pineapples. The main version of the cake includes pineapples with nuts on the bottom. I am really the only in family who likes the nuts so I typically leave them out. When I do add nuts, I prefer black walnuts. Sometimes, I use different flavored rums as well: spice rum, vanilla rum, banana rum, etc. The rum sauce is optional after the cake is done. I don’t think it is a rum cake without the sauce soaked into the cake.

The beauty of my recipe is that the cake tastes really great and can be prepared in about 10 minutes. Then it requires about 1 hour to bake in the oven.

The aroma of the cake leads people into the kitchen and you will have to fight them off to avoid cutting the cake before it cools. It tastes really good once the rum sauce soaks in. The only problem with the cake is that you will probably end up baking 2 or 3.

Now that I have made your mouth water. I know that you want my recipe. The way to get my recipe is to join my website: Building Leaders of Tomorrow. Send user RumCake a private message and I will freely provide you with the recipe.

Please visit and join the first Social Network for Leaders and leaders under development. The goal of this site is to develop and engage future leaders and assist the leaders of today. Join to get your free Rum Cake recipe.

Maybe you were the delightful character that the whole team at work or that Christmas party they deemed to play Santa. While you need to bring on the ho ho ho and the Merry Christmas, you need to deck yourself out to look like Kris Kringle. We know exactly how. Here are a few things that you will need when you play this jolly old spirited guy as you learn what you need for your Santa Claus costume.

Every Santa is known to have a long white beard. If you watch the movies, the kids pull on it. They put gum in it. However, it is essential. Now, some have grown the beards themselves. Others buy the fake ones. Either way is fine.

The next thing that they always have to have is the beard. You might be like well I can tell them that Santa shaved. Umm wrong. The normal kid will ask where your beard is. Part of the fun is tugging on Santas beard. This can be all natural or it can be the fake one. Just be careful if it is all natural. It could hurt.

You also have to have the red and why coat and the matching pants. Now, because Santa is from the North Pole, he dresses for the cold. However, when you are being Santas little helper, you might not be ready for the impact of heat that this baby gives. Just try not to do too much moving around or what not as the suits can be somewhat heavy.

The last thing that this Santa Claus costume needs is the black boots. You have to have the black boots. They are stylish and very productive. You should see what this man can accomplish in them. You would not believe what a man that size can do.

There, now you have the complete Santa Claus Costume. You are never too old to quit believing in Santa. This is a great way to share the wonder of Christmas. Get your complete costume whether you rent it or you buy it.

Looking for great Christmas Costumes? Make sure to make everyone’s spirits stay high this season. Get a Santa Claus Costume and bring smiles to children and people of all age groups! See what’s available now!
